I am a London based playwright and performer. I was runner up for the 2017 Mercury Playwriting Award for my play SHADOW KINGDOMS, with this play going on secure a 2019 Channel Four Playwright Bursary award after I staged the play at Theatre503 June 2018.
A range of the UK’s leading new writing venues has staged my work, from Manchester Royal Exchange, Bolton Octagon Theatre, Hertfordshire Courtyard, Camden People's Theatre, Theatre503, High Tide, The Space, Talawa, Old Red Lion, and the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Significantly, my one-woman show LARP, which I also performed, received five-star reviews, as well as marking my Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut last year at ZOO venues.
Most recently, I've been working on ITVs CORONATION STREET part of their Original Voices Initiative leading to my first full-length TV EP commission, which was broadcast in June 2021 (available on the ITV Hub). Alongside my Audible Emerging Playwrights commission, MISCELLANEOUS 0125, a rom-com treasure hunt was released also.
This 2021 I joined the BBC Writers' Academy, securing one of the coveted and highly competitive 8 spots on the scheme. Led by John Yorke, it is a year's paid training, with guaranteed commissions on the BBC’s flagship shows as well as the chance to develop an original project with BBC Studios, or one of the BBC’s independent production partners.
