About me

Dramatist and performer. A graduate of both the Belgrade Theatre’s Critical Mass and the Royal Court Theatre local invitation playwriting schemes and 2014 alumni for the Orange Tree Theatre invitation playwright initiative. 2017 BBC Hot Talent List and BBC Drama Room following on from my short film TITS (BBC 3) part of THE BREAK II anthologies and BBC/Talawa London Voices 2016. I was runner up for the 2017 Mercury Playwriting Award for my play SHADOW KINGDOMS, with this play going on secure a 2019 Channel Four Playwright Bursary award after I staged the play at Theatre503.
A range of the UK’s leading new writing venues has staged my work, from Manchester Royal Exchange, Bolton Octagon Theatre, Hertfordshire Courtyard, Camden People's Theatre, Theatre503, High Tide, The Space, Talawa, Old Red Lion, and the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Significantly, my one-woman show LARP, which I also performed, received five-star reviews, as well as marking my Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut 2019 at ZOO venues.
I have worked on ITVs CORONATION STREET part of their Original Voices Initiative leading to my first full-length TV EP commission, which was broadcast in June 2021 (available on the ITV Hub). Alongside my Audible Emerging Playwrights commission, MISCELLANEOUS 0125, a rom-com treasure hunt was released also.
Plus, I joined the BBC Writers' Academy securing one of the coveted and highly competitive 8 spots on the scheme. Led by John Yorke, it was a year's paid training, and subsquent commissions on the BBC’s flagship shows (EASTENDERS and CASUALTY ) alongside developing an original project with BBC Studios/Various Artist Limited.
Most recently, my graffiti-based coming-of-age TV drama Trackside (live action/animation hybrid) was optioned by C21 Studios. And I joined the Father Brown Cosy Crime Cohort, BBC Birmingham. Plus, I was awarded The Writers Lab, Bold Voice Award for my 6 x 30" comedy crime caper, A Very Small Theft.
